Makeup is a great tool to enhance your looks magically, but it can only do so much. Therefore, you're going to need to put in some extra work in the run-up to the big day to make sure your skin is looking it's very best. And this is not limited to but can include regular facials, taking nutrients rich supplements such as biotin, vitamin E, & omega 3s, drinking plenty of water (yes, I know you have heard this a million times but trust me it works), cutting down on wine and perhaps start looking into juicing.

Don't get carried away replicating a makeup look that has been modelled by someone completely different looking from yourself – it will not look the same.

Thanks to Kim Kardashian and some famous social media makeup artists, contouring is big right now, but sometimes it can look too harsh during the daytime. Always remember that your photos are going to be on display for many years to come; you don't want someone to be able to pinpoint which decade your wedding took place in based on your face alone. Timelessness is the key!

Don't attempt to do your wedding makeup yourself unless you are a professional and 100% confident about it. It is always best to leave the task to the experts. Bridal makeup artists are trained to cater to things like ensuring the longevity of the products, matching the foundation correctly, priming and setting the makeup, picking the right colour palette to compliment skin tone and the wedding dress etc.

Don't try to cut corners and go with the cheapest option when it comes to your wedding day hair and makeup; you very much do get what you pay for. Always do your research, get referrals from friends and family and book well in advance to look your absolute best on your big day!

There's no better excuse than your wedding (and of course honeymoon) to treat yourself to a few sessions of laser hair removal. Is it a splurge? Yes, but it will be so worth it when shaving your armpits and legs is the last thing on your mind.
Lastly, I would like to thank all the brides that I have had the pleasure of meeting and beautifying over the years. Looking forward to glamming up many more in the years to come!!!
Lots of Love,
Annie
